Privacy Policy

MUVE (“MUVE,” “we,” “us”) helps people find and run rec sports leagues, pickup games, and clubs. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, and (via Apple or Google sign-in) the basic profile those services share to create your account.
  • Profile information — the handle, photo, sports, skill level, availability, and neighborhood you choose to add.
  • Activity in the app — the leagues and games you join, RSVPs and check-ins, team rosters you're on, sub requests, and messages you send in team, event, and league chats.
  • Payment information — when you pay dues or fees, payment is processed by Stripe. Your full card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by MUVE; we keep a record of the transaction (amount, status, and what it was for).
  • Photos you upload — a profile photo and any game photos you choose to add.
  • Approximate location — if you allow it, we use your device location to show leagues and games near you. You can turn this off in your device settings.
  • Device and usage data — basic technical information (such as app version and diagnostics) used to keep the app running and improve it.

How we use your information

  • Provide the core service — show your schedule, place you on teams, run the sub/free-agent marketplace, and enable scoped chat with people you share a team or league with.
  • Process payments for registrations and fees.
  • Send you relevant updates — game reminders, RSVP and status changes, and sub requests.
  • Keep MUVE safe and reliable, and improve features.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run MUVE:

  • With other members you share a team, event, or league with — your name, photo, and RSVP/roster status are visible to them, as you'd expect from a sports app.
  • With organizations you register with — organizers can see your registration, roster, waiver, and payment status.
  • With service providers who operate the product on our behalf — Supabase (secure database, authentication, and storage), Stripe (payments), and Apple/Google (sign-in). Each handles data under its own terms.
  • If required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal or financial obligations. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Your choices and rights

  • Access or update your profile information in the app at any time.
  • Control location, notification, camera, and photo permissions in your device settings.
  • Request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account and associated data, by emailing us from your account email.

Youth participants

Adults 18 and older create and manage MUVE accounts. A parent or guardian may add a dependent (a minor) to their household and register them for programs — the minor does not sign in themselves. A minor’s personal, emergency, and medical information is entered by their guardian and is shared only with the specific organization they register with, only to run that program (relationship- and scope-gated), and every access is audited. MUVE is not directed to children for their own account creation.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
